4 Ways to Pamper Yourself Like a Beauty Guru

Self-care has been all over the place these days and why shouldn’t be? There’s honestly no harm in wanting to take better care of yourself. The purpose of self-care is help improve your well-being from the inside out. So while you focus on your mental health, why not pair it with indulgent pampering of your outer self for an overall well-being.

Here are four ways to take your at-home pampering to the next level without having to make a super expensive trip to the spa.

Aromatherapy Bath: 

Start off your pampering process with a relaxing and soothing bath to rejuvenates the skin. Instead of reaching for an expensive bath bomb, consider soaking the body in epsom salt with some essential oils preferably lavender oil.

Lavender oil will help you enjoy an immediate calming effect on the body. It also helps relieve pain in the muscles. Make a DIY bath detox with lavender oil combined with epsom salt for the ideal body scrub. It will help draw out toxins, balance your skin’s pH levels and soothe your skin.

Sheet mask:

Skincare is the key to healthy and dewy skin, and every beauty guru knows this. One of the best ways to achieve a spa-quality facial is with an at-home face mask.

Try a sheet mask, they are convenient and easy to use. Their purpose is to nourish, hydrate and moisturise the face, not necessarily to exfoliate the skin like a paste-like face mask. Leave mask on the skin for 15 mins and massage the excess serum into the skin to get the most out of the product.

You can also make your own face mask with ingredients from your kitchen cupboard. An egg white and plain yogurt face mask is great for helping the reduce blemishes and fight unwanted pimples. Leave the face mask on for 10 – 15 mins, then wash off and pat dry with a clean face cloth.

Create your own body massage oil by mixing some lavender oil and coconut oil. Apply it all over your body after a relaxing bath to help reduce stress and further promote relaxation and overall well-being.

It will help relax the muscles and increase the blood circulation around the body. You can even add some drops of the oils into your everyday moisturiser to keep the skin hydrated at all times.

Meditate:

For a quick pick-me-up moment spend at least 30 minutes alone in an chilled area with your favourite hot beverage. If you’re someone who loves journaling, it’s the perfect time to pick up pen and paper and express yourself.

Enjoy your cup of tea/coffee while breathing in deeply and consciously, reflecting on the moment without worrying about your to-do list. Use it as an opportunity to unplug from the world for a few minutes.
