The summer season calls for lighter and fresher scents. It means swapping the musky and oriental fragrances for fruity, floral and citrusy ones.
I’m a huge fan of long-lasting fruity-floral scents for the daytime, and seductive citrusy aromas combined with a whiff of sweetness for the warm, summer nights.
If you’re on the search for a new fragrance, check out these top picks. Also discover some great fragrances tips that will always make sure your scent is long-lasting.
Each of these fragrances have a unique summer scent that transports me to different summer scenario. Whether it’s soaking up the sun or rooftop chilling with my friends, they all take me on some sweet escapades in the sun.
So next time you spritz on your favourite perfume for the next summer adventure keep these three sensational tips in mind. These will help you make the most out your perfume and leave a lasting impression:
- Store It Right: Just like wine, fragrances need to be stored properly to preserve the notes. Keep your precious bottles stored in a cool, dark place. When exposed in a super light room it can affect the intensity of the perfume.
- Maximise The Scent: Instead of spraying a fragrance on wrists, try spritzing it onto your pulse points such as the sides of your neck and inside of your elbows.
- Don’t Rub, Just Spray: It’s has become a subconscious reaction to rub your wrists together after spraying on a fragrance to make it last longer, but this actually does the exact opposite. Reason? Well, the friction heats up the skin causing it produce enzymes that affect the top and middle notes of the perfume.
