In Full Bloom: Spring Style LookBook

Spring is officially here and I couldn’t be more excited! The sight of blooming flowers and sunshine makes everything so much more mesmerising. The fact that we can now pull out all the fun and lightweight clothing and finally say goodbye to heavy puffers, is a definite yes from me.

The off-the-shoulder trend is a spring fashion staple that everyone needs in their wardrobe this season. It is a statement piece that can be pulled off with anything from high-waisted jeans to mini skirts. I had so much fun rocking my off-the-shoulder top with a clean white pair of denims.

Outfit details: Off-the-Shoulder top: Legit | Denim jeans: Cotton On | Gold belt: Thrifted | Nude Strappy Heels: Rubi | Sunglasses: Mr. Price | Silver Mini Bag: Mr. Price

Top-Pick: Current Fave Skin-Finish Foundations

Trying to find the perfect foundation can be stressful and overwhelming. Walking into Clicks or Dis-chem swatching foundation after foundation only can become frustrating. Sometimes what looks great in-store can quickly be a different story five hours later.

Here are my top foundation recommendations that are super light on the skin and create a second-skin finish, while still providing enough coverage to hide dark spots.

It’s a Grey Matter: The Dos and Donts of Athleisure

Athleisure is the latest fashion trend that is taking over the world and is easily become a crowd favourite for all fashion lovers. It is a fun, fashionable and comfortable style to rock and play around with as a casual look. The style athleisure is all about transforming activewear clothing into everyday outfits that are perfect for the office, lunch dates or for running errands.

I am not really a girl who follows trend, but some trends are undeniably hard not to follow especially when they fit perfectly with my everyday life. I can’t stop wearing my grey two-piece that was a gift from my father while he was on a business trip in China. The shorts are so comfortable to work out in and as soon as I’m done with my daily workout, I simply throw on the top and the look is performance wear ready for the day ahead. To make the look more fashionable I pair it up with a leather jacket and a simple watch, I don’t think there is a need to over accessorise with this type of style.

That 70s Style

So this season flared jeans are back in style and to be honest I have never really been a huge fan of the flare but it has somehow grown on me and I am now officially obsessed with the style! I even purchased my very first pair and it has quickly become my latest favourite item in my closet, followed closely by my orange Ted Baker coat (check out the post on it). Thank goodness we have left the skinny jeans craze and we are now moving onto better and more chic denim, the 70s style has never looked so good.

Golden Dust

Photo taken by: Ayabulela Gwanya

For my look this past weekend, I decided to keep it minimalist with a touch of street swag. I was not in the mood to wear heels or pumps, I felt like being a biker/classy girl. Think of it as Rock n Roll Biker meets RnB Princess.

By now you’ve probably realised that I never, okay maybe not never. But I hardly wear bright clothing, instead my wardrobe consists of nudes, whites and lots of black clothing. With an odd touch of colour here and there.
